Succession of actions during scans
Looking at the interferometer signals, it seems to me like at a new line the fast axis is only commanded to advance, after the slow axis is finished moving. This is an unfortunate waste of time and makes me wonder, how the succession of actions at scan points is handled. I would assume, that all actions (motion, detector arming etc.) are triggered immediately and only the slowest of them determines the overhead. Now I am afraid, that each action is triggered only after the previous action is completed, which unnecessarily blows up the overhead.
