Test beam infrastructure plays an indispensable role in the R\&D and
prototyping of key detector technologies. At the DESY II test beam facility, the EUDET-telescopes based on the Mimosa26 monolithic active
pixel sensors (MAPS) have been a workhorse for detector developments
providing unparalleled tracking resolution for the test beams for over
a decade. This work aims to integrate the Timepix3 tracking plane into the
existing telescope at the DESY II test beam facility to perform track
time-stamping at the nanosecond scale.

Timepix3 is a multi-purpose readout ASIC for hybrid pixel detectors. It can measure time and energy simultaneously by employing time-of-arrival (ToA) and time-over-threshold (ToT) techniques; both methods are systematically affected by timewalk. An assembly of Timepix3 ASICs bump-bonded to a \SI{100}{\micro\meter} thick n-in-p silicon sensor is characterized and calibrated in the laboratory and test beams. For electrons of \SI{4.6}{\giga\electronvolt}, time resolution down to $1.078 \pm 0.003 \hspace{0.1cm} \si{\nano\second}$ and spatial resolution down to ($14.78 \pm 0.05)$\hspace{0.5mm} \si{\micro\meter} and ($15.08 \pm 0.06$) \hspace{0.5mm}\si{\micro\meter} along x- and y-directions respectively is achieved. Furthermore, the best hit detection efficiency of the Timepix3 tracking plane obtained in this work corresponds to $99.8821\substack{+0.0116\\ -0.0106}$\,\%
